Getting Your Bond Back
To ensure you receive your entire bond back, we have prepared a list of things that if completed, should ensure a full refund.
RENT - Make sure all rent owing has been paid. The final amounts will have been sent to you in your vacating letter or you can contact our office.
REPAIRS – All damage must be made good. Please contact the office for phone numbers of competitively priced, professional trades people.
CLEANING – If you do not wish to do the cleaning yourself we can arrange quotes from professional cleaners prior to your vacating. We are able to provide you with the number of our carpet cleaner. You will find his prices very reasonable. We doubt you will find a cheaper price.
GENERALLY -
- Clean all windows and tracks, doors, sliding doors and tracks and security screens
- Mop all floors, removing marks and wash all skirting boards.
- Clean light fittings, wipe dead bugs, remove all cobwebs. Light bulbs to be left in working order
- Wipe clean all walls with particular attention to areas around light switches and handles
- Net curtains are to be washed. (Napisan is a good product to use)
- Blinds and drapes are to be dry cleaned only if any staining has occurred during the tenancy
- Cobwebs to be removed from interior and exterior of premises.
KITCHEN -
- Clean inside and outside of all cupboards and doors (especially pots and pans cupboards)
- Stove, grill, drip trays and oven to be left free of grease (use Mr Muscle or Oven Clean)
- Clean inside, outside and behind refrigerator, dishwasher and oven (if applicable)
- Clean exhaust fans and filters
- Clean sink (stainless steel sinks to be shiny, use cream cleaner and scourer) and especially drains
- Range hood and filter (filter can be removed and cleaned).
BATHROOM -
- Clean floors, mirrors and windows
- Clean toilet, vanity, bath, shower recess (Tiles and screen scum build up to be removed)
- Clean inside of built in cupboards (wipe off scuff marks)
- Shower curtain washed with bleach or replaced if necessary.
LAUNDRY -
- Clean inside, outside and behind washing machine, rinse out filter (where applicable)
- Clean inside, outside and behind dryer, remove lint (where applicable)
- Clean laundry tub (including inside bottom cupboard of tub).
VERANDAH/PATIO -
- Sweep and mop, clean railings and any perspex glass
- Remove all cobwebs etc.
GARAGE -
- Sweep out garage
- Degrease all driveways, carports and all concrete areas
- Clean recycle bins and remove all rubbish from property
- Lock garage doors.
YARDS -
- Lawns mowed, edges tidied, weeding, general tidy up and no rubbish or grass clippings to be left at the property.
